How to play Pocket Pool
Pocket Pool is a 2D physics billiards game on a six-pocket championship table. Each rack sets up a formation of object balls alongside the 8-ball. Using the ghost-ball aim preview, shot power slider, and cue-ball spin controls (top follow, back draw, and side English), your job is to pocket all object balls and finish by sinking the 8-ball within your shot budget (14 to 16 shots, based on rack size). Pocket Pool Arcade challenges you to clear consecutive racks (+1,000 × rack bonus) before committing three fouls.
Or play Pocket Pool Arcade, a real-time run played for a personal best.
How to play
- Click anywhere on the emerald felt or adjust the Aim Angle slider (0°–359°) to line up the cue stick with your target ball, or press Auto-Aim Nearest Ball.
- Read the ghost-ball raycast line: the white circle marks where the cue ball will strike first, and the blue line shows the target ball’s initial travel vector.
- Set Shot Power (10%–100%) and optional Top / Back Spin (follow or draw) and Side English to control where the cue ball rolls after impact.
- Press Strike Cue Ball to take the shot. Clear all object balls first (+100 points each, or +100 × combo in Arcade), then sink the 8-ball last to win the rack (+500 clear bonus in Daily and Practice).
- Avoid scratching the cue ball into a pocket (-100 points) or pocketing the 8-ball while other object balls remain on the felt.
Tips & strategy
- Use slight backspin (draw) when shooting straight into a corner pocket so the cue ball stops or pulls back instead of following the object ball into the pocket.
- Bank an object ball off at least one cushion before it drops into a pocket to score a +50 Bank Shot bonus.
- In Arcade Rack Rush, stringing consecutive pockets multiplies each ball by your current combo counter.
Accessibility
Every shot parameter—Aim Angle, Shot Power, Top and Back Spin, and Side English—has a labelled slider alongside the Auto-Aim Nearest Ball and Strike Cue Ball buttons, and The table in words lists the exact coordinates of the Cue ball and every object ball remaining on the felt.
