How to play Vocabulary Builder
Vocabulary Builder gives you five words a day to define. For each one you pick the choice that best matches its meaning, and the correct meaning is shown immediately so you learn as you go rather than at the end. Every word you get right joins your growing vocabulary collection, which is the real point: the streak is a nudge, the collection is the reward.
How to play
- Read the word, then pick the choice that best matches its meaning.
- The correct meaning appears straight after you answer, with a ✓ on the right choice and a ✕ on a wrong pick.
- Work through all five words to finish the day.
- Every word you answer correctly is added to your vocabulary collection.
Tips & strategy
- Look for the root before you guess. Recognising a familiar stem, prefix, or suffix narrows the options fast.
- Eliminate rather than select: rule out the choices you are confident are wrong and commit to what remains.
- Read every option before choosing. Distractors are often near-synonyms that are wrong in one specific way.
- Read the explanation even when you were right — that is where the shade of meaning lives.
- Practice lets you pick a difficulty and play fresh rounds without affecting your streak, and it still builds your collection.
Accessibility
Right and wrong answers are marked with ✓ and ✕ as well as colour, so feedback never depends on colour alone.
